Crimsonland is out there on the INTERNET. That truly is great fun: A top-down, shoot-em-up style game, but every time you reach another EXP waypoint you hear a 'DING!'. Right-clicking then brings up a 'perks' menu to choose from, stuffed with random goodies: Become radioactive! Gain bullet-time like powers! Stuff an extra 20% ammo in there! Sell your soul for 3 MORE perks! Good stuff.
And, it has 2 player for when you have a friend.

It's on Suprnova.org right now.

Jesus FUCKING Christ! Is there some sort of law that DEMANDS that every goddamn Flash program in the world take over my sound driver and turn their shit up as superhumanly loud as possible? And use "wacky" fonts? I guess you get two fonts in Flash: Comic Sans and Comic Sans Bold.
I can't fucking STAND Flash. I know that you're going to tell me I "hate" everything: I do not. I've been MAMEing it as much as possible lately. My brother dropped by and attempted to solve Shinobi twice over two evenings. (And I know I've been saying this like 1000 times lately, but to anyone who ever liked an arcade game: get TV-out going on your computer, it's the fawking BOMB, n!33rs.)
I unfortunately have an out-of-date ROM set for MAME again. I need to fix that, and soon, because it's an unbelievably awesome way to kill a half-hour.

Yah, a couple years ago. I enjoyed it up to the point where I couldn't get any better (about three minutes into the game). Is that net-playable? Is it cooperative or competitive?

Hey, I hate flash too, although for vastly different reasons, one of them being that the every time it restarts it refreshes the goddamn page so that whenever these goddamn shitty advertising companies who think they are teh ub3r for using Flash in their ads that pop up on one of my favorit fiction sites I curse it to the depths of the underworld because ev ery thirty goddamn seconds I have to start reading from the fucking top again. Arrrgh I hate that.

Oh, the white folks hate the black folks
And the black folks hate the white folks
To hate all but the right folks
Is an old established rule
But during National Brotherhood Week
National Brotherhood Week
Lena Horne and Sheriff Clark
Are dancing cheek to cheek
It's fun to eulogize
The people you despise
As long as you don't let 'em in your school
Oh, the poor folks hate the rich folks
And the rich folks hate the poor folks
All of my folks hate all of your folks
It's American as apple pie
But during National Brotherhood Week
National Brotherhood Week
New Yorkers love the Puerto Ricans
'Cause it's very chic
Step up and shake the hand
Of someone you can't stand
You can tolerate him if you try
Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics
And the Catholics hate the Protestants
And the Hindus hate the Moslems
And everybody hates the Jews
But during National Brotherhood Week
National Brotherhood Week
It's National Everyone-Smile-At-
One-Another-hood Week
Be nice to people who
Are inferior to you
It's only for a week, so have no fear
Be grateful that it doesn't last all year!

That was lovely.
Crimsonland has evolved a lot from the last time you played it, Pinback: I only picked it up a couple of days ago and was pleased at the newer, cooler weapons and mission-style modes.
It has co-op, but strangely it still only appears to be on the same PC. I tried hooking up 2 USB mice but that just confused it, I don't know what you're supposed to do about player 2 having shitty aim.
It seems odd that after so long network play still isn't in there. I'll hunt around.

Oh, no. the fawking BOMB is a Wells-Gardner 9200D monitor, just like the one in my Mame Cabinet. TV-Out is, uh, "the freaking firecracker" or something.
