Can it be all that bad? I mean it COULD be a one-line dial up at 1200 baud max, right? With an auto cutoff feature after 45 minutes, so you don't have to wait around all day playing PGA Tour on your XT while waiting for that asshole with the 300 B modem taking up THE ONE LINE THAT CONNECTS YOU WITH THE WHOLE OF THE INTERNET AAAARRRRRRR!

All Caltrops can't be funny all the time, but all Caltrops can belly ache about that fact all the time. This expection of quality which really isn't an expectation of quality but an expectation that everyone is going to waste their time, energy, and effort on defending their work as quality. If you can defend shit well there, people will simply eat it up. That's why Ben hates it.

I didn't write the review for Caltrops. ICJ asked if he could post it there. (Well, he posted it there and then asked "K?!?!") I was naturally interested in engaging in a fruitful discourse with the folks over there about the review and the content therein.

My overtures were brutally rejected.

Our previous review was written in July.

Talking to INC he later said, "You're (meaning me) the only one who cares about the reviews anyway."

Pinner, these people aren't even Brutal, they've just got very good at acting brutal. Being mean and or brutal is only convincing the other person that you mean it.

I enjoy Caltrops but hate everyone on Caltrops. My advice for getting the most out of the Caltrops Experience:

1. Pretend everyone on there is just a gimmick and doesn't really exist.

2. Not actually post at all yourself.

3. Skip any and all "meta" threads.

Frankly, I don't see Pinner honestly leaving. Now that BDR seems at the least annoyed with Pinner pulling the "GOODBYE FRIENDS FOREVER" thing, he's going to continue to post and sign each message with "GOODBYE FOREVER" or some shit. It's actually a good place with people who aren't idiots.

I don't buy that Pinback gives a shit about their rejection. I think he gives a shit that it was possibly the crappiest rejection ever(because I know I do), an AIM log with some guy everyone shouldn't care about anymore, where INC refers to himself in the THIRD PERSON in the title, and all wrapped up with a funny little coincidental story where EriKKK is being difficult about some text in some game, HOW CUTE!

It's something new, it's on the damn review page, God forbid it doesn't pass the Internet litmus test of "funny or intelligent"(Not that I read it). I mean really, what are the odds that everyone on the Internet are all hilarious geniuses? Nil. Thusly everyone on the Internet, especially Caltrops are insincere. That's probably why he doesn't like the site, everyone is contrived. I think it's rubbing off on me a little bit too.

Yeah. Also, it's stupid.

Actually, it's kind of starting to perk up lately.

Caltrops totally needs a Daily Bad Name thread.

Nothing of importance can ever be discussed there, so a Daily Bad Name thread would fall unfortunately flat.
