Set phasers on titillation!!!

Well, it would seem as though curiosity has gotten the better of me, for I've found myself here asking this question:

What is the Pleasure Wharf base all about? Really.

While the other bases have informative summaries, the Pleasure Wharf has none. Nothing. Not a peep! Whether this was intentional or merely a "goof up" is a matter I'm still currently debating.

Also, its by far the "quietest" of the bases, giving it an even more mysterious (possibly even sinister) appearance.

The only poster, at least until I submit this question, is a guy/girl by the name of "Pleasure Worf." Strikingly similar to the bases very name. Once again, coincidence? Well.. you be the judge of that.

Yet the most mysterious piece of evidence is the brief blurb left by "Pleasure Worf" -- "Set phasers on titillation!!!"

Good gravy. Titillation indeed! So, I'm to be tickled? Is that it?

If so, when am I to be tickled, and if so will it be pleasurably, superficially or erotically?

My my, all these questions spinning in my mind have left yours truly a might bit lightheaded. I must retire to my bed chambers, where I will give this matter more thought.

Years ago, when I ran the dial-up version of this BBS, the "Pleasure Wharf" was the base where the bunch of us talked about our local get-togethers.

Now that I live over a thousand miles from these friends, the times that I return are few and far between. They also have never, and will never, make it out here for a visit, so the entire reason for this forum's existence hardly exists.

So I'm open for suggestions for what this base ought to be. Assembled masses, famed denizens, valued lurkers, outrageous anonymous personas, please, I implore you... suggest away!

Well, the previously taken poll roundly showed that people do NOT think there are too many forums here, so one thing you definitely don't want to do is get rid of this forum.

Oh, eff off you bastard! I tried to come visit you a few months ago, and I got the "Er, I dont have any vacation time to take, and you'll be on your own the whole time you're out here" note.

I TRIED to come to Denver. You turned me away!

Ahh... I was just kidding around when I wrote that. (The "have never, will never" thing.)

As it turns out, we've had mandatory vacation for like 18 months now. Ah, well. I probably could have worked that out better.
