Guilt

I bought the huge bag of basil 2 weeks ago. In order to keep it alive as I used it up, I tool the sprigs I wasn't using and put them into water in the sun, because they just die in the fridge. 2 minutes ago, I took the rooting seedlings, and cast then into the boiling coconut milk. I feel like shit.

They tasted great, though.

So do dead babies, but you don't see me tossing them into the curry.

Your Kashmiri chicken tasted great, though. Did I ever tell you that Kashmiri chicken is my SECOND favorite food, pal?

The first favorite is still pizza, 31 years and counting.

'ey! You're my favorite, too, Ice Cream Jimmy. Er, Jones.
What the hell's this guy's name again?

Pepperoni. I'm really easy. Though there was a time when I did not like pepperoni! I threw up some when I was maybe six after getting it from "The Pizza Shack."
There are many Pizza Shacks around Rochester. We used to go to the one on Ridge Road. In fact, we did so all throughout my youth.
After Mike moved to Colorado we only went to the one in Hamlin for some reason. I can't explain why. Better pie??
We did go back to the one on Ridge Road when I returned home for a week this past December. It was my first visit there in years.
Pinback I can tell you quite categorically...
it smelled exactly as I remembered.
It was glorious.
Five out of five stars.

A good pie is tough to beat, that's for sure.
Still though, you put a gun to my head and say "name your #1"? I dunno. Gotta go, like, ribs. Or jerk chicken. Or a nice yellow curry. Or a good juicy Five Guys burger.
Or a philly cheesesteak!
Yes, maybe it's that.
Maybe it's a philly cheesesteak.

Pinback lived on the same road as the best pizza in Colorado not made by him and didn't even know it. I'm sorry you never got to experience that.

The best pizza in Colorado not made by you. And i only say that because I don;t think I could have gotten gorgonzola basil pineapple or whatever you made that time at the pizza place.

Are you going to tell us the name of the establishment?

Cortino's, on S. Boulder Rd, which becomes Table Mesa (which I know you lived OFF, but it was still like 25 feet away) when it crosses 157.

Well, thanks for telling me while I was there.
Have no fear, though, I'd say the chances of me rolling up a stake here, getting all depressed again, quitting my job for another year and a half, and starting the whole crazy coaster ride over again are pretty high!

Or, you could come visit or something.
Another thread derailed...by love.

It would be a lot more fun this time because I am in a better place. Literally and figuratively.
I'd even eat grilled cheese at the bar, pallie!
In other news -- you know how the sky looks on a rainy day after it just got done bleating the countryside with wash?
That's what the guy who runs Cortino's looks like.

Wow! But... but you
hate eating at the bar!

No. And I also don't know how something can "bleat a countryside".
That's what the guy who runs Cortino's looks like.
Well, I'm looking forward to it. And I, unlike you, will actually VISIT after promising to visit!
