It's procedural..

I imagine most people who would be interested have seen this by now, but I'm on my lunch break and it's pretty cool.

You're fucking right it's procedural. I really hope the difficulty doesn't stay at that of a flash game. It seems really fun, but if I don't use the mad skillz they will rust.

What does that mean, it's "procedural"? As opposed to object-oriented?

I guess it means everything's generated on the fly by algorithms or some such rather then being hard coded. I guess.

E.V.O without the cheesey RPG elements and totally free form? I'd hit it.

Though I hope that specific levels are long enough to be enjoyed.

I thought it looked more like Civilization, except starting from the cellular level.

To me, it seemed a bit like Knight Orc, with a further, yet-unrevealed denoument about robots.

To me, it seemed a bit like a tentacle rape simulator, only you get to grow your own monster before having it invade other worlds and feed on the nubile females of alien specie.

The individual components of the early games look kind of dull, though. It looks like the phases are Pac Man - > bad MMORPG style combat game - > "simplified" RTS - > "simplified" civilization - > intergalactic playground. I hope they introduce more stuff to do, especially in the first to phases.
