The "Games" section of the website should be done
I redid the games page, so each page (except Pantomime) has its own page.
http://www.joltcountry.com/games
I have not spidered the site, though, so there may be missing or incorrect links.
Next up is to finally convert everything over to the new scheme for the Features directory. And, to be honest, I should give the Knight Orc Home Page area some help.
I also have blog-like articles I wrote from 1997 and 1998 that I could put up if it were the sort of thing that people would find interesting. But I will presume that nobody wants to see stuff I wrote from that long ago, which is understandable. It's pretty painful.

It works for 2007 as well!Vitriola wrote:Put them up! We can all get retroactively mad at a losing Saints season as you were/are.
And this Saturday's draft! You know, I said two months ago that we were somehow coming out of this draft without Leinart, Bush or Young even though we had the #2 choice. Then they went and signed Brees.
But I will say it anyway. We are somehow coming out of this draft without D'Brickashaw Ferguson or A.J. Hawk. MARK MY WORDS. The signing of Brees CHANGES NOTHING.
Oh, and the Flyers got beat 8-2 last night (game not televised out here) in case you were wondering. I hate sports.

If you separated yourself from your team losing, it was a pretty entertaining game. In terms of people completely losing their shit, at least.Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:Oh, and the Flyers got beat 8-2 last night (game not televised out here) in case you were wondering. I hate sports.
Are the things you're talking about putting up the "rants" from one of the previous incarnations of the site? I remember those being entertaining as hell.

They showed it in Atlanta? Did you get "Extra Puck" or "Extra Skating" or whatever they call the hockey package? How on earth did you see that game? How?!!?!?

EARLY FEEDBACK ON GREG'S BOOK
Greg has an amazing ability to write compact, sleek and entertaining content. It's amazing and I am not afraid to say that I am in awe of his literary dexterity.
That is very kind of you, and also what I fear about them. Are the things you're talking about putting up the "rants" from one of the previous incarnations of the site? I remember those being entertaining as hell.

I've got NHL Center Ice at home, and at work we get all the satellite feeds. I'm always hooked up (so long as I live my entire life on the couch or at work).Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:They showed it in Atlanta? Meanwhile (and I know this is the wrong base. Sorry, everyone. Especially sorry, hockey-hating Vitriola) the Senators-Lightning game just turned insane. Zdeno Chara just beat the hell out of Vinny Lecavalier. Between the increased scoring and the fact that all the players on every team are crazy angry (after another fight, Pavel Kubina just skated off, kicking helmets), these are some entertaining playoffs. As long as the Red Wings don't win.

I remember Iginla going off on Lecavalier as well in the finals two... three... a hundred years ago. Is there something about VLC that rubs people the wrong way? Or at least, fellow hockey players?gsdgsd wrote:Meanwhile (and I know this is the wrong base. Sorry, everyone. I think he's a bit of a whiner. Hossa went after him a few years ago too, and Hossa never fights.Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:I remember Iginla going off on Lecavalier as well in the finals two... three... a hundred years ago. In this case, he started yapping at Chara (who's, what, 6'9"?) -- waited till the refs stepped between them -- then threw a punch at Zdeno. Chara responded by beating the hell out of Vinny until he remembered that he had about six inches and 50 pounds on the guy.
Edmonton up 1-0 on Detroit. I know I say it often, but I hate the Wings and all they ... shit. 1-1.
