Someone had a sealed Suspended mask and it ended up going for $510.

Of course, Activision won't reissue any of this crap. I don't care if it's first edition or second edition, I simply think that's the GREATEST GAME BOX of all time and would like a repro to display.

Dave Cornelson asked Activision about some of this a while back. Here's what he wrote to raif recently:
I asked a guy at Activision (Laird) about getting a quote for all Infocom materials, just to see how much it would cost to buy everything. I also asked for a quote on licensing everything to resell.

Laird's reply was more or less "We don't have any legal staff willing to put any time into this. I'm sorry."

The Infocom trademarks and materials are all buried in a cave somewhere. The irony is both humurous and frustrating at the same time.
Are publishers in other forms of entertainment this incompetent?

That mask is what kept me from buying the game. I remember it like yast year... It was Caldor's they had a nice selection of C64 games living in thier own happy bin. There were peripherals in abundance, Dual sided disk drives, 1200b modems, printers...WOW! That was early. When I went back for my second C64 (the first one had blown a video chip, must have been sexually frustrated) the entire sotware collection for the Commodore was down to one revolving, squeaking wire rack. I turned the rack.. and at eye level was this horrible Friday the Thirteenth face staring at me!
I took a step back and thought 'my god!' Thing scared the crap out of me. After I saw the Infocom label I calmed down, but I never bought the game..Ever

Now I find out the mask could have been worth some dough. Hey, I still have a bunch of C64 manuals in pristine condition, wonder what they would go for?
