There does not seem to be a restriction against the fact that I originally completed it in 2004. In fact, I think I make all the requirements:
If I am reading this right, this says that games published by a real publisher before the deadline aren't eligible. If you self-published, which is what Feelies.org is, it's OK.Games published or distributed for profit before the final deadline of September 29, 2006 are ineligible. Free web distribution and self-publishing are acceptable. Such games may have made no more than $10,000 in gross sales.
Yeah, I meet this one with flying colors.Developer can have received no more than $25,000 in outside development investment and sponsorship.
Yes, I do believe that the instructions (the PDF I distributed with it) are completely in English.Games and instructions must be in English, although international entries are welcome.
Whoo-hoo!Games must be feature complete.
Aces.Innovative and unusual formats, such as interactive fiction and drama, are encouraged to apply. Games must display interactivity, and be in an electronic format to be considered for the competition.
On the other hand, it's $45 to enter. It's not the money, it's the principle. But if I look at it like $45 of advertising for the game then that's not so bad. I bought a banner ad on Something Awful for $20 that proved to be completely worthless. Plus, except for Future Boy!, I don't think there is a graphical text game that accurately updated the graphics window for every room in the game like ND did. So it has something different to offer.
I don't think it will win anything, but if there is a list of applicants and a link to this forum it would be worth $45, I think, even if it were immediately rejected.
