The Winds Of Athena Or Some Shit

Game description: Brute Force Lemmings.

As most simple ideas are, the idea is simple: You got a bunch o' boats. They float along. You gotta get 'em from the starting point to the ending point. Blam.

You cannot control them directly, so you use one of two methods to get 'em there: wind and sea current. You generate current on the water by sliding the water along. This is cool. You generate wind by spinning a disc with a mouse. This is slightly less cool.

Along the way, you protect your boats from meanies by clicking on them and doing various other things.

In other words, it is BRUTE FORCE LEMMINGS. There is not so much planning and cleverness required, as if you're fast enough, you can just click and drag the water around real quick to get 'em where they're going. But it's rarely that simple.

My demo ran out about about 1/3 through the game, I'm guessing. For me, that was enough, but the game is unique and clever and well done enough that casual gamers should probably check it out.

I give Odyssey Winds of Homer Athena a solid "sure" on a scale of "sure" to "eh".
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.
