ROODY! If you get a chance, can you link to the game you made that you told me about? I can't find it through Baf's Guide or whatnot. Thanks, bud!

Yeah, this was basically the only place I announced it (couldn't remember what to search for so I can't find the post). Anyhow, you can find it here:

It's worth mentioning again that the game started out as a collaborative project between me and a lady friend. She wrote the introductory text and an object for the one NPC (in TADS, actually), I sat on it for like six years, then added the rest and released it as a surprise for her.
No, she doesn't talk to me anymore.

Hmm... OK, I found the ferret. How do I get him to search for the key? IF IN FACT that is what I should be doing?

That is indeed what you should be doing, although you might have to first partake in some old movie clichés involving metal cups and iron jail cell bars.

Also, as another thing I mentioned in Vegas, here is that "Garfield is dead" thing:

Ah-ha! I thought of that, but did not phrase it right.
The Garfield thing is shocking - I didn't think that Jim Davis could draw anything other than a cat on a table and a pan. It's like he decided, for one week, to show the world that he could draw something else.

Yeah, I know at some point I added several more phrasings that were suggested to me but I may have never gotten around to uploading the newer version.
Also, haha about the Jim Davis. That movie does sort of make me want to cheer.
