Tiger is currently 3 ahead, going into the weekend.
I will bet anyone that he wins, and give 20-1 odds.
That is, if you agree to this bet, and Tiger wins, you owe me $5, but if he doesn't, I owe you $100.

Not Daly, the other one. Phil something. Mickleson. Is he playing? Everyone else shrivels.

I think I did the right thing not taking you up on that.
What are the odds that you can take your talent for supporting front runners, and have some of that magic rub off on my football team? Can you make a bet for all takers for the Saints - Titans game on MNF next week?

Seriously, you can't think that that's all that this is. That I'm rooting for Tiger Woods instead of Charles Howell III just because he wins more, so I can cheer more.
That's like accusing a Christian of being a "front-runner" when he expresses his love for the Christ Jesus.
I'm "rooting" for the fact that we're witnessing GOLF HISTORY right in front of us, which of course is boring and meaningless unless you are a fan of golf, but if you are, then there is no way NOT to root for Tiger, because it is one of those once-a-century kind of things which you just need to be overjoyed to be able to witness.
Until 1996, professional golf was a bunch of really talented white guys in bad pants. Then the freak of nature came on the scene, and it's an amazing freak to watch.
You gotta be happy just to be here to appreciate it.

How snarky.
You should write a sports column.
