I don't know, too geeky? Everyone can post pictures of their chinchillas, but we can also talk about video cards, overheating processors and then real hardware like, "the electricity is failing in my house, how do I fix this"?

Anyone got something better? Then we get to name the base and everyone can make fun of the base title I pick, which you will all find stupid and unsatisfying. I'm not being critical: it probably will be!

How about just "computers"? Is that too vague?

How about "Pet Hardware," i.e. bionic animals?

Pets and computers works for me. I'll think of a name right now. Actually, all the old names from the dial-up section should go. Da King hasn't been here in years, so why call the Sports and Music base that (no idea why he doesn't like this BBS, it's the same tone he called on dial-up for years on end), nobody here cares about cars and every single political thread is just about how crazy Bush is.

I don't know, if I had to do it all over again, I'd arrange things as such:

But I'm trapped by 17 years of momentum and running this place in some form or another. Great. GRRRRRREAT.

I hate base reorganization. My own sense of order is offended by the leftover pet threads in troll room, and stuff like that.

This is like trying to organize a junk drawer. Ever try it? It stays neat and clean for about ten minutes then it's right back to clutter and chaos. That's because the people here LIKE clutter and chaos. Least I do. Sometimes when I'm trying to remember a particular thread and I just cannot remember which base it's in makes me google for it. Is it really a huge deal if we discuss Plastic Man, drunken activities and motherboards in the same area?
More like memory markers than actual topics, I'd say.
