OK, well, looks like this the KOTOR thread, which does support save-anywhere, and I therefore am enjoying it.

KOTOR would crash on almost every loading screen on my computer. Therefore I had to make my own autosaves before I started loading and after I finished loading. It was really good though.

I saved it on the Xbox and shut it off, so we'll see if that version works correctly. I'll probably just put Fable on eBay or something, no lasting harm, no lasting fouls.
