Out of the millions of horrible fucking movies you've sat through, I'm enchanted to see that this movie is the one you're apparently going to completely rail against. I guess it won't be any "Aliens 3."
Why don't you drink lye? And the reason so many people hate the more generic "white people" is because you don't happen to wear a nametag, you shitheap of misery. (So if you choose to, it would set race relations ahead forty or fifty years.)

I'm sure the movie is good. The trailer, though... whew.
I like that we've brought back "drinking lye" as a theme for the last week and a half, though. If that's all my hateful comments have accomplished, that's enough.

This critcism is autobiographical, I think.

Drinking lye is back, baby, up against the back of your fucking throat.

Is this movie coming to a theater near me? Is it a television special like all those Ken burns war movies? "Details! Details!" he shrieked in his grinch imitation.

Thank you, Vark, for bring a level of class and civilization to this discussion that it was otherwise lacking. A lot of people who have written in have said that it would be classier if two things happened: 1) I referenced Alien instead of Aliens 3, and 2) Aarvark posted.
We have achieved one of these things.
If I am remembering things correctly, Jason Scott (the director) is going to make some number of episodes (more than one, and less than, like, ten. I don't know the exact number). You might naturally think two things if you see a trailer for a movie:
1) That it will be a singular "thing"
2) That someone is gonna get their ass "King of Konged," that is to say, the director will humilate someone for cheap laughs.
GET LAMP is neither of those!
It will be available for purchase when it is complete, but I think it will also be licensed as Creative Commons, meaning that it is impossible to truly "pirate." I am very much intrigued by the concept of Creative Commons. I probably have a CC work in me in some medium within the next five years.
Does that clear things up at all, Varkus? I am happy to answer any and all questions about this amazing work-in-progress. I'm also happy to start telling people to drink chemicals. Both make me happy.

Robb you do not need to link when you are posting a Youtube video; try clicking the screen when it is playing.
You are from the 1996 Internet, pops.

So...it's direct to video then? Or downloadable episodes with a valid credit card number? I guess I could research Creative Commons and answer these questions myself but that lacks the intuitive input that comes with this board.
EDIT] The Creative Commons FAQ has just given me a headache, therefore I wont be researching it any more. I get the general idea though.

The code that I used for this mod added that. I was so thrilled that it worked the first time out of the box that I left it in. Plus - plus!! I think that link is a quick way to then click on something else and see other things the authors have done, right? Right? Right!

What you'll be able to do is buy the documentary through his website and Amazon, and it will show up on x number of discs (not sure how many he is gunning for). It will then arrive and be just like a normal DVD that you may have purchased, say, for instance "Tilt: The Battle to Save Pinball," "Sicko" or, if you are truly a fine connoisseur of cinema, "Alien 3".
At the same time, you would conceivably be able to download it through a torrent site, because as a Creative Commons item, that's perfectly fine. What you couldn't do is build on a work of Creative Commons, charge for it, and then not let other people build on your work. You couldn't make a computer game that uses Creative Commons-licensed music and then not release that game under CC.
The Creative Commons FAQ has just given me a headache, therefore I wont be researching it any more. I get the general idea though.
Yeah, it's one of those things that I will invest the time in knowing very well when I am one day ready to use it, until then I spout forth what may very well be a cacophony of poor information and poor descriptions. I am hoping to just achieve the level of "not making it worse" when I speak on that subject.

How would you define the "magic" of text adventures?

Typing something totally random into a particular game especially when I'm stuck on a puzzle and rather frustrated and having it come back with a snide reply that totally makes me laugh until I get hiccups. This has happened more than once.

my favorite part? The part where someone types "go outside" and the response? "I DONT KNOW THE WORD OUTSIDE" BWHAHAHAHAHA. No wonder this trailer looks like the preview for ghost 2.

I'm gonna see this get lamp fellow near the end of this month. I can't see any good reason to not steal the lamp, I'll report back later.

He doesn't have the lamp with him at all times, you know, he's not the fucking Green Lantern.

Okay, he remembered Knuckles, me, and I think confused a Sega Saturn for a Dreamcast and talked about running Zork on a Saturn. I forgot to ask him anything about the lamp, so ... FUCK!
