The April 10th, 2008 Denver Snowstorm

Post by Ice Cream Jonsey »

It's April 10th and there is a snowstorm in Denver! I'm not even going to get into the guy in the minivan who was four seconds into a red light when he barrelled on through. (Would have killed me if I had made my left as soon as I got the green arrow, luckily I have been dealing with these fucking retards for almost ten years now and it's to the point where I expect this sort of behavior.)

I've got two things I'd like to discuss today. If you engage in this behavior, pretend I am talking about someone else. I don't want to run off any more posters.

NUMBER ONE: The reason you activate your headlights in an overcast April snowstorm is for your own safety. I understand that nobody in Denver wants to give an inch and I've long ago given up expecting these selfish cretins to signal their turns, but if you have your lights on when it is dark at 11:00 AM, it ensure that I don't merge directly into you when I try to get into the middle lane on I-25 south.

NUMBER TWO: I will never, ever understand people who are exiting a parking lot, or their cul-de-sac, and on their phones. If you need to make a goddamn phone call, SIT IN THE PARKING LOT FOR A MINUTE. Today, as I went to get some lunch, there was a guy in a full-size truck on his cell with the world's largest grin trying to back out of the parking lot with one hand. People (i.e., fucking me) were stopped on either side of him as he was perpendicular trying to get out. I swear to fucking Christ people start up their cars and then actively look to make a call.

Anyway, all I am saying is don't feel bad for traffic fatalities during conditions like this. Half the people involved fucking deserve it.

I spun out on Rt. 3 a few weeks ago. The Massachusetts drivers kindly avoided me.
Good point Bobby!

Oklahoma weather makes no sense at all. At 9.30 this morning it was literally sheeting down rain, and when I left class at 12.30 PM there was not a cloud in the sky.

MAKE UP YO MIND
