Google Chrome first thoughts

I really wanted to like this and I think it's got potential but so far it's got issues:

- for me it's noticeably slower than the new version of firefox, surprisingly even for google desktop

- if you use it for porn then it has to be just for porn unless you want your significant other to see screenshots of what your "most visited sites" are when you start a new tab. I can't believe there's no way to turn off this "feature"

- buggy so far: crashed during youtube and trying to play a flash game

- the back and forward buttons: I HATE having to hold the button to see my previous pages in either direction. The new firefox is great with one drop down box showing both direction, even the old firefox was better with separate drop downs for each direction

- simplified interface: not really, it's just missing things. They throw pop up messages at the top and bottom of the page which can be just as annoying

- downloads: When you download stuff, let's say for a hypothetical example porn clips, it pops up a bar at the bottom so you can just click on them. I much prefer with firefox that it just starts the damn clip and then when I close media player it's just fucking gone.

That's what Incognito Mode is for.

Right-click on the buttons.

I have noticed that Google Chrome Browser does not work well with MLB.tv, nor the associated gameday site on MLB.com.

That being said, I'm not exactly suggesting that it in any way, shape or form is due to anything but the absolute incompetence of Major League Baseball.

Chrome uses the Webkit rendering engine, as does Apple's Safari, so either Safari has the same problems, Chrome's engine is customized, or Apple people don't give a shit about how shitty Safari might be because IT'S APPLE!
