Fix Caltrops, would ya? It's a not loading.

It seems less down right now.

Hey bud.

Yeah, the goddamn thing was a complete horror - early yesterday I gave register.com some money. Late afternoon Caltrops died, and I was out all last night. I had no idea who was responsible. This is my first time checking this site in a long while.

As it turns out, register.com was not guilty of anything. (Other than calling me on the phone constantly for the last several weeks.)

Caltrops' host, Midphase, changed what server we were on. Do you remember in HHGG, when Adams writes the bit about the notice for the house's destruction? It was like the same thing. Midphase should just register www.bewareoftheleopard.com.

So I had no idea we were switching machines. They ported us over there on 9/26, but didn't kill the machine we were on until yesterday. So at this point we lost a week of posts. Infuriating!

I have a ticket open with them to see if I can get a 10/1 backup. I'm not holding my breath.

But yeah, this fuckup is on me - I had no idea they posted their updates at a certain place.
