Starting today, we'll have an excellent 2010. Things I already got out of the way:
- stepping in a hairball
- making popcorn
- playing Grand Theft Auto IV

Mark Recchi scored the game-tying goal in the NHL Winter Classic to eventually give Boston a win in overtime. And you're damn right I was rooting for him even though he was playing the Flyers.

I don't think the chess thread should count towards any 2010 accomplishments, I think that one was decided in 09.

We are kicking off 2010 with our second major winter storm. It's 8 degrees here this morning, most of the city is without power (we're lucky) and they just closed the schools due to "cold" which confirms that we are raising a generation of pussies.

When my kid's school closed last year due to wind chill, I was comforted by the fact that THE KIDS REALLY AREN'T ROBOTS!
Who knew.
