Baseball All-Star game to decide home field advantage in WS

I'd put a link to the NY Times story that I am quoting but geez who has the time?
The whiny little shits that make up the actual baseball players, though? Oh noes! They want no part of it!
They are holding on to this terrible opinion, because in doing so they can use it as leverage right? So the MLBPA would rather hold a miserable stance to further their own agenda then just admit it when the owners fall completely backwards into a good idea.
I know a guy like that. His name is Bundy. He would rather look like a mindless chimp and hold on to a particular opinion that is in line with his own distorted view of reality then look, y'know, intelligent and reasonable. He once stated that Ed McCaffrey was the best WR that has ever played football. He CONTINUES to state this, even though such a comment should only have been made in jest.
I really don't like baseball, and haven't liked it for quite some time. The only enjoyment I get is in noting how much I hate everyone involved with the game.
OK, fair enough. I get that this is being done not because it's a solid idea, but because Fox wants it, but still. Whatever. Good to see.Despite players' views to the contrary, baseball's club owners acted today on their conviction that linking the outcome of the All-Star Game to home-field advantage in the World Series would rejuvenate the All-Star Game.
The owners voted, 30-0, to implement the linkage beginning with this season's game on July 15 at Comiskey Park in Chicago. If they can persuade the players to approve the plan, the pennant winner whose league wins the All-Star Game will be at home for Games 1, 2, 6 and 7 of the World Series in October.

That's great. Shut the fuck up.We appreciate what they're trying to do, what their objective is," Gene Orza, the union's No. 2 official said by telephone from New York. "We'll talk to more players than we have already about it. It's clear there are a number of players who have questions about it. By the same token, there are a lot of players. We'll begin discussions with them pretty soon."
