.... doesn't use a standard plate. You can't screw it onto any metal control panel set up for a Wico. WHY THE FUCK IS THAT THE CASE?? Un fucking believable. I have no idea why this decision was made.
This looks to be an absolutely fantastic joystick... and one I can't get onto my goddamn control panel.
.... and the linked PDF that has the template sizes.... gives a 404. Christ. I know they moved the server for RetroBlast, so I guess that's why. Let me see if I can find the guy who wrote the article.

If you already have the red part (the non-standard joystick plate) and you know the distance between the holes in the black part, based on the hole pattern that's in your cabinet, the rest is pretty easy to figure out. Just measure everything and sketch it out for me. Things are kinda slow at the lasers right now so getting this part in would be deep fried prairie oysters with a side of smoked salmon.

My wife enjoys cake. I enjoy cake icing. About once every othe rmonth, she'll bake a cake and then put powdered sugar or something else stupid on top instead of icing, because we don't have any. Which is stupid, and really makes we want to just go buy a thing of cake icing and eat it.
I would like to nominate myself for thread derailment of the year. Thank you, thank you very cake.

This is so fucking awesome of you.
Here's the thing. It's 3.5" wide and 3" high. The distance between the black holes is 3 1/8" and they start a quarter inch down.
The thing is, the hole diameter does NOT need to be precise. I have a billion screws around here. Though the diameter of the holes look to be a quarter inch as well.
And as for the hole in the center, anything over 3/4" in diameter should be fine. It would have been nice if I had the image say that, wouldn't it?
I suppose I would then attach the thin metal plate there to the metal plate of the MagPlus. I'm sure there is a welder around here that could do it. So that's no prob.
God, this really would be something. Thanks, Vark. And let me know if you need more information on my very un-CAD-like drawing!

Actually you will get a single plate that has all the holes of both parts, so there's no need for welding. I will need the dimensions for the red plate features though

If you could fill in the blanks for me, I can draw it up in cad-cam and send it over to the laser guy. I assume you wont need the slots for mounting so they will be omitted. Everything else will be for a 1/4 inch screw. I figure .150 thick would give good support. I could ask for .187 thick steel if you think it's needed. Or stainless... Yeah stainless steel! never rust. You could play the game in a downpour and....nah, just reg'lar steel.

Ah! You will have those measurements before I go to bed on Sunday. God, you're a life saver.
Always a little awkward when the host makes multiple comments about your weight though. Truth be told, it's exactly what I needed, when I needed it.

You're the man. God. God!! Thanks, dude.
So, this is for the POLYBIUS cabinet. Allow me to explain! I put the "48-in-1" JAMMA board in there. The 48-in-1 takes care of a number of gaps in my arcade, offering such classic titles as DONKEY KONG, GALAGA and BURGERTIME. They're emulated like shit, but nobody cares, at least the idea's there.
For the longest time I had a Wico joystick in there. The Wico's "claim to fame" is that it's not clicky, using the leaf switches. Well, people have been over recently and while I have no idea what the problem is/was, but the joystick was waaaay too sensitive. So I said, "Fuck it! I'm getting the finest four-way stick on the market."
And I remain convinced that the MagPlus is a fine 4-way stick. Just, that panel. Nnnngh!
But yeah, I'll fire it in when it arrives and shoot a video of how it all plays. Aardvark, you have saved an arcade today, my friend!

Well, let this iteration of Jolt Country: The Great On-Line Empire help you. We've got a pretty good lineup at the moment. We are willing to support you in this!
And I really need to figure out transportation for that Centipede. It looks amazing. I'll attempt to get serious about it this week.

Hey Jonsey, your plate got bumped back due to a more important job in the laser. Donut fear, though, it will be done!

I understand! And thank you, Vark. I can't believe this is actually happening. And I don't gotta weld shit? WICKED!!

Plate is done. I'll have it in the mail by this weekend. Can you email me your address again? I have it on a Christmas card list (burned on a CD somewhere) but am too lazy to dig for it right now.
