Well, I'm off for Thanksgiving

I am going over to my sister's place for Thanksgiving; I asked whether showing up today or tomorrow morning was better, and she said today was okay. Given the bus schedules, I can get there as late as 9 tonight, so it gives me plenty of time to take everything I'll need, including a Christmas present I picked up for her, that I'll have my brother wrap.
My birthday is on the 27th, so I might stay until then, so they can give me my presents on the day as opposed to doing so early. Most important, of course, is the strawberry cheesecake I have once a year. Just to be special.
Since this is the cooking section, I should mention we typically have either turkey or chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, brocoli with cheese or butter, canned cranberry jelly, homemade cranberry sauce, rolls with butter, plus egg nog and soft drinks. I can't remember if we have corn on the cob or not.
Damn, I forgot: Apple, Pumpkin and Mince pies with real whipped cream from a spray can (my sister uses them all the time, she takes fixes (of whipped cream) from them when she wants a sugar high). We probably also have Cool Whip, which is made from oil. Possibly ice cream, the real stuff. My brother buys FFNSA ice cream and it doesn't taste very good. (FFNSA: Fat Free No Sugar Added).
"I bought a toothbrush, some toothpaste, a flannel for my face
Pajamas, a hairbrush, new shoes and a case.
I said to my reflection, 'Let's get out of this place.'"
- Squeeze, Tempted
I'm figuring I'll take some of my cameras, a tripod, nimh batteries, battery charger, video cable, charger for the wheelchair, enough clothes for 4 days, my prescription, and anything else I might need. I have a kitchen wastebasket I specifically declared "not a trash can" that I have for such things, i carry it on the foot rest plate between my legs. It hooks on to the carabiners I have on my seat belt.
So I may not be posting anything through the 27th or 28th, it depends on how I feel and how busy I am. Me being there means my sister has someone she can bitch to about all the problems in her world, who understands. So that's part of the reason she'd like me to come over today, it gives her some extra time to talk.
