Relapsed today with a soda and sub and subsequently felt queasy, light headed and sick for the rest of the day. Its partly to do with my blood sugar and the other is that I'm actually having withdraw symptoms; cutting my normal sugar, salt, and fat intake by 2/3rds of more where healthy, pushed me over the edge a bit.

Heading to my local grocer tomorrow for fruit and plan to try using fructose as a replacement for straight up glucose (arguably, I mean it is technically corn syrup, right?)

Lets do this!

The best weight loss advice I can give is, don't visit me in Oklahoma. I will feed you until you pop.

For me, it wasn't too bad. I actually lost two tenths of a pound. I attribute that to not eating that last delicious piece of pizza at the Chicago/NY Merger place. There are no calories in silently eye-fucking it though, as it was at eye level.

Did you notice the four anti-human trafficking ads at that place ? Guys, I'm just trying to have some pie, not grow a diamond-plated erection.

I fear that that place will not be around forever. They recently adjusted their hours of operation and posted the following note on the website:

"My wife and I enjoy our customers and running Humble Pie, but the long hours and few breaks are threatening to take a toll on our health. As our little girl is growing up quickly, we also feel a need to spend more time together as a family. In the near future, we hope to re-expand our hours to be able to serve you better. Until then, we thank you for your support, friendship, and business. "

Any day I expect them to cut off the air conditioning in that place. If that happens, I'm ordering 100 pizzas and buying a deep freeze.

This is why the economy is in such bad shape, by the way. HIRE A GODDAMN MANAGER, MISTER PIE. They're gonna shut the place down rather than get a bit less profit and hire someone to run the place. I will continue to draw incorrect opinions about a situation I know nothing about and state that they are doing it to spite Obama.

I ate like a king on Oklahoma! Thank you Flack! It's day two on the 1000 calorie intake and I'm wishing it was last Thursday again. Thursday is rib day!

I'll never understand how a good pizza place can shut down. It's more like a public service than a pizza parlor. (I refer of course to Veltre's Pizza, 1932-2000 R.I.P) It's goes against all that is goodness and light

We didn't make it to Braum's (the ice cream place) or Cattleman's (the steak house down in the stockyards), so we can put those on the list for next time.

People always want to go to Sonic when they visit here, but trust me, you're not missing anything. I mean, Sonic's okay and all, but it's just a burger joint, nothing more and nothing less.

Maybe these tales-o'-gluttony should be taken to another thread.

I'm of the mind that these tales are testing my resolve, especially since I live right down the street from some of the greatest pizza / thai restaurants I've ever been to.

So okay; tease the guy who has been told he is a borderline diabetic but its a test! Right? A test?

Went to Golden Corral tonight for dinner. It's funny how trips there always start out.

"Oh, they have a SALAD BAR!"

Yes. They have a salad bar. They also have 16 feet of desserts, including a chocolate fondue fountain. Yeah. It's bad news.

So the good news is, I had a salad. The bad news is, I used melted chocolate for the dressing.

Not bad, not bad ...
