I have moved the microphone and mixing board out of storage and into my office.

I have hooked up the microphone and mixer and have confirmed I can record things in Audacity again.

I have confirmed that I can talk to Paul and Retro over Skype and that Paul's microphone is horrible.

Connect a set of (analog) headphones to the analog mic-in port, then talk loudly into the headphones.
It should work as a (shitty) microphone.

If a guy has been a heroin addict for years, claims he's quitting but keeps going back to the needle, you tend to take his subsequent claims he's quitting with a kilo of salt.
Or the guy who claims he'll fix the leaky roof in is garage, when it rains it's too nasty to work, when the sun is out it's not raining.
If you want to believed, don't say you'll do it, just do it. Shut up and soldier. It's a fuckin' fake radio program, it's not like you're building a version of Facebook or SC2.
It should take, at most, 45 minutes to be ready to do a show, and personally I could do one in 5.
