USPS Tracking to Germany

So, I sent a package to Germany. It was my MiST FPGA.
I was given a customs number. That number is LC401281277US
When I try to track it using USPS, I'm told that tracking is only available to Canada. Which was not implied when I shipped the thing. I expected to get complete tracking.
Anyone know what I can do from here? The thing should have been delivered 6-10 business days from August 9th. That puts it at August 22nd at the latest. I "let go" of the thought that it might get there in six days. Ha. Ha ha!
I'm really stuck here. I assume it's "held up" in customs, but that's an assumption. Anyone know what I can do next?

If you give the number to the intended recipient, they might be able to contact their local customs office and check to see whether it's there.
Sometimes, you can plug it into the tracking function of the destination country's website, and it'll come up -- but I just searched the German postal site (
https://www.deutschepost.de/sendung/sim ... cale=en_GB) for yours and nothing came up, so either a) that doesn't work in Deutschland or b) it's indeed stuck in customs. Or c) it got misdirected to Ghana instead.

It's ALWAYS held up in customs. ALWAYS. And they always want money for something or other to let it out. The person who wants it most to get there has to call the shipper and badger them every day about where the package is and what has to be done to make it move again until the person receiving the call is so fed up they do their fucking job.
This was my life for 3 years, it sucks when you have the resources of an entire company that does not care about spraying money at the problem to make a shipment get there TOMORROW, so best of luck with that aggravation.

Thanks, gsdgsd. :)
So regarding calling... I was told 10 business days. I'm just going to file an insurance claim. I would rather get the money. I can buy a new MIST with it.
I can see for unique items that you have to lean on someone but if the USPS can't tell me where it is then they can pay for it.

I'll try to call the USPS tomorrow but I guess I will just see how I fill out an insurance claim.
Also Atari-Forum is down. This deal's looking worse and worse!

This is amazing. I couldn't be more pissed.
I called up the US Post Office's number for When They Fuck Up International Shipping. The gal on the phone told me:
1) She had no info on it
2) I mailed it "first class" or something
3) There's no fucking insurance on it
SO. FUCKING. PISSED. I absolutely got insurance on it. Whatever fucking way I shipped it, they fucked up. I want to strangle the pieces of shit at the local post office for fucking suggesting it.
I usually have a problem calling people on the phone, but I get mad enough and then I want to do it. I want to ruin someone's fucking day. I want them to all memorize my goddamn name.
