I've just been told that I will be released from rehab on June 26. So I should be finished and it only means I was in the hospital/rehab for six weeks.
One good thing did come out of this. One of these organizations that allegedly try to help you actually came through - at no cost - and discovered apparently I am covered for Medicaid - the low-income medical program - as well as Medicare so I might not have to be responsible for further bills.
We shall see.
So it looks like the government will pay it and I get to be what that guy in the movie Grease claimed he wanted to be when he grew up: "A burden on society."
Anyway, this is great news, I'll be going home, changed somewhat, in better condition and hopefully I've learned a few things. And maybe take better care of myself and not try to eat myself into an early grave.
