Jolt Country

OK, I have managed to get a few pieces of content in the queue and hopefully this place will become a bit more dynamic. I'll be essentially merging the RFTK site with the main www page for whichever game reviews I place up that aren't IF. My goal is to re-integrate the reviews that used to be up as well.

A few years ago I used to write essays on the normal, everyday stuff that I'd experience. As I acclimated out here I had less to talk about, but the re-integration of the more-amusing ones and some brand new content along those lines will be coming as well.

(I'll note the next few updates in this thread so nobody has to keep refreshing or looking at the main page.)

Ok, the content, such as it is, has been posted. Hopefully this becomes a regular thing.

I'm pleased to see Jolt Country being infused with a tad bit more content, although I was perfectly happy before. I am curious though, can we expect to see any essays on the "normal, everyday" stuff? Or is it game reviews from here on out?

Now, if this place could get some pie fights... Well, let me just simply state, "WOW!"

The next few will probably be game reviews, as those are half-written already. Then probably both a re-introduction of some of the old articles about nothing in general that used to be up a couple years ago along with new ones in that style.


Additionally, I am currently negotiating with a company in Sri Lanka in order to host nude pie fights through streaming video. The whole "fighting with pies on the internet" thing seems to be in zeitgeist right now. I think that's a good thing, mostly, certainly far better than when that old Turkish "Mahir" guy's crotch was rubbing up against everything, I daresay.

These are the kinds of things that prevent otherwise good-intentioned webmasters from updating their sites quickly enough: I mailed my GTA review to my work account. All that's really left is to feign exasperation with the number of 90% and higher reviews it's getting all over the web. Well, I sent the mail out at 7:15am. It's now 10:07am and I haven't seen anything resembling it in my inbox at work. I suspect that anything with an attachment that is sent to my work account is intentionally delayed 12 hours, even if that attachment is just a frigging HTML file.

At least they came to their senses and unblocked the Old Man Murray forums here, so it's not totally an unpleasant work environment. (Course, those forums are down currently, but still. Anyway.)
