My refrigerator has a bottom-loading freezer. A couple days ago, two things went wrong in the freezer at the same time:
1. Light stopped working.
2. Freezer stopped defrosting.
The freezer is still cold, but it's dark and there's snow all over everything.
Someone, please...
FIX MY FREEZER!

If it has a fan inside you can see (been so long since I had a bottom-load freezer I can't remember) that basically blows the cold air in try:
1. Unplug it and let most of that ice melt.
2. Blow hot air in and around the vent where the cold air blows in with a hair dryer. Do this for about half an hour.
3. Let it sit another 5-10 mins (might still be kinda warm/got)
4. Plug it back in.

Looks like that's the plan, but why would that affect the light bulb?

It could be the bulb itself just blew from extra moisture or whatever.. or the switch mechanism that gets triggered when you open the door is seized up.

Hm I haven't had to do that before (I still use ice trays haha) but this looks promising:
Basically how to easily replace the motor that powers it.
