Hmmm. This is rough, but in the ballpark. "More than I expected."
$850 for the control deck
$500 for the monitor
$100 for other ordered materials (T-molding, bezel frame, etc.)
$300 for cabinet construction materials
$500 for the computer
$400 for tools I needed and didn't have (obviously some of these will be useful for other things)
$50 for MAME and Daphne DVDs
So, "not much under three grand" would be accurate, and about 40 hours of work for two people. That's 40 hours each. Having done it once, Amy and I could probably build a second one in about half that time.
