Dexter

I actually enjoyed the ending. If I'm not mistaken the first episode started with him at the logging site also. You have to admit, it would totally have sucked if his character ended up arrested or dead, and ultimately, he did grow a conscience and knew the best thing to do would be to walk away. And if he died, then he wouldn't have to live with everything he did. Though leaving his kid with another psychopath rather than say... his sister, was at least slightly perplexing.
As for the series being unbelievable- DUH the dude was SURROUNDED by murder, yet all of his coworkers were oblivious? Then again- sometimes you just don't know. *shrug* Hated that they killed Deb off though =(

Hey, I resemble that remark.
Also explained in season 6.

It's explained.

BTW, here's what I hate about Breaking Bad season 5: The way they changed the lighting in the White's house so it's always dark to match the mindset of the characters. God, that is such hacky filmschool horseshit.

I know that the characters on BB are very human, but ... well, what I think we learned is that a married man can turn into a vicious criminal mastermind and multiple murderer & people will still root for him.

If his wife bangs her boss she will be viewed as a irredeemable bitch for the rest of recorded human history (by some).

Watch the last episode of Breaking Bad to find out. Also, I'm glad that whole Ted business died down. I hated that story line.

by lethargic » Wed Oct 02, 2013 9:47 pm

Now we're back to Ted??? What happened to Todd???

by Flack » Wed Oct 02, 2013 9:12 pm

Yeah, Ted's Escondido. Ted's is pretty good, but it's also very popular -- that's why they told us it could be a 20 minute late at 8:30pm. I think I mentioned but there's a Ted's close to our work that we occasionally go to. It opens at 11am and if you aren't there by 10:50, forget it -- you'll spend your entire lunch hour waiting for a table.

There's a San Marcos just down the street from us, but to get to it I have to drive past Chileno's, El Chico, and Carlito's. There's also Poquito de Mexico, which is a bit more authentic Mexican than some of the others, and Mama Roja's, which is where I took you and Vark last year (the place by the lake). Abuelo's, Alfredo's, Abel's, and a ton of other places are also close by.

Down off of SW29th is where what we call "Little Mexico" begins. If you want really really authentic Mexican food that's the place to go, although on a couple of occasions Susan and I have wandered in to places where we were the only people there who spoke English.

Oh, you should have let me know -- there are a least half a dozen places near me that serve burritos "Christmas-Style". Isn't it generous that restaurants all over the country are willing to serve New Mexican food?
Flack, that mexican restaurant you generously took me to was some of the best goddamn food I've ever had in my life. What was that place called again? I feel like going through the 405 phone book and just yelling at people at home because they aren't there. Ted's? It was Ted's?

(Also chili.)

Beheadings are also New Mexican. You used to have to go all the way to the Middle East for that.

Season 4 of Breaking Bad was OK.

REASONABLE.

by pinback » Tue Oct 01, 2013 9:21 pm

Chips and salsa are also New Mexican.

(Also enchiladas.)

(Also burritos.)

(Also beans.)

by Flack » Tue Oct 01, 2013 8:56 pm

On the latest episode of Adventure Club Podcast, I went off on how presumptuous it is that people from New Mexico have claimed that tacos are "New Mexican" food.

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Tue Oct 01, 2013 8:45 pm

lethargic is correct. He is the only voice of reason on MOST sets here. When I am going off on quicksaves, he is reasonable. When Ben is going off on other people here, he is reasonable. When Flack is going off on congressmen, he is reasonable.
