Yeah,
Ted's Escondido. Ted's is pretty good, but it's also very popular -- that's why they told us it could be a 20 minute late at 8:30pm. I think I mentioned but there's a Ted's close to our work that we occasionally go to. It opens at 11am and if you aren't there by 10:50, forget it -- you'll spend your entire lunch hour waiting for a table.
There's a San Marcos just down the street from us, but to get to it I have to drive past Chileno's, El Chico, and Carlito's. There's also Poquito de Mexico, which is a bit more authentic Mexican than some of the others, and Mama Roja's, which is where I took you and Vark last year (the place by the lake). Abuelo's, Alfredo's, Abel's, and a ton of other places are also close by.
Down off of SW29th is where what we call "Little Mexico" begins. If you want really really authentic Mexican food that's the place to go, although on a couple of occasions Susan and I have wandered in to places where we were the only people there who spoke English.
