Huh. Well, it was the clip of Robert Alford's flop during the Packers-Falcons game.

I think that my critiques were a little rough. I just want to emphasize that everything was funny, but I am voting on the "funniest" so the evaluations need to be more severe from my perspective.

The Kevin Everett Tape - For. Hysterical.

Seagulls - Veto. It's cute, but not really funny.

Four Science Fellows - For. Clever writing, very funny.

Bug in Mouth Reporter - Veto. I can't relate, the countryside is beautiful.

DRS Spirit Bumper - For. The funniest fucking thing I've heard in years. Everything about this is perfect.

Drunk Guy Atm - Veto. I just kind of feel bad for the guy. Based on how he's dressed, life is shitting on him hard enough.

THE ENCOUNTERS OF HARD GAY - Veto. It's definitely gay.

This is America with Father John Misty - Veto. This song is more documentary than comedy.

My Name is Paul - For. Easily my second favorite video behind the DRS bumper. Paul takes his comedy to the fourth dimension, you just need somebody like Flack to translate it for the rest of us.

The Rainbow Connection: Literal Video Version - Veto. Sorry Flack, again this is cute, and it's well done, it's sort of funny...needs more Paul.

David Lee Roth running with the devil (vocals only) 1978 - Veto. It almost gets there for me on a comedic level.

It's great on one level, for just, you know, being what it is.

It's great on an even deeper level, because it's Paul giving someone advice on comedy.

Can anybody here edit this down to make a vine that goes from about 0:42 to 0:47 ?

That Paul Remix led me to Flak's most famous video and I'd say it deserves at least consideration for this list.

The remix itself gets my thumbs down despite the hilarious "so hot...so good...so hot hot hot" part around the 2m15s mark. Too long, not hot enough.

That's hard to argue with.

Now that you mention it...I DO actually! I think Paul should record a video of himself singing a funny song and if it is good enough, then maybe it can make its way over to this thread!

Anyone else notice the uncanny resemblance between Paul and Father John Misty from The Happiness Engine's post?

PROS: Paul.

CONS: Nothing.

My Submission:

Is there anything that more embodies our current zeitgeist than GoGurt?

by Jizaboz » Tue Jan 10, 2017 9:21 am

All of these are funny. Also, how dare you Don Rogers? That spirit intro is a TRUE CLASSIC.

I present...

THE ENCOUNTERS OF HARD GAY

Sorry, still haven't figured out how to use the stupid youtube tag here!

I vote YES to all previous submissions because I'm easy. I love the "Reporter Goes Ghetto" video. It's always been one of my favorites. There's a piece of us all in it. We're all trying to be that image of ourselves we think will get us furthest in life until something snaps us out of it and then we realize who we really are we just want to get out of this country-ass motherfucker.

I'd never seen the Seagull Yoda vid. Hilarious! I came down with the flu after catching it from my kids who spent the past two days simultaneously spewing. This song has been a continuous background to my illness and recovery. I surely won't come out of it the same.

Here's my own submission:

PROS: For us, the viewer, this is the best possible outcome.

CONS: Unlike most animated gifs that repeat endlessly, if you keep watching this on the 143rd cycle something different happens that isn't nearly as funny.

Paul was right. There's no fucken spirit here.

by pinback » Mon Jan 09, 2017 4:39 pm

I vote no.

Fine. I submit this:
