I considered it once or twice, but considering I already have 2 1/2 books that nobody else reads, why bother with another? (
In the Matter of: The Gatekeeper: The Gate Contracts, finished at about 375 pages;
In the Matter of: Instrument of God, finished at about 750 pages;
In the Matter of: Willis and Friends, not finished, about 125 pages.)
I took one page from my story
Willis and Friends which was basically full, and got 739 words. That means to do a 50,000 word novel requires about 68 pages. This is an average of just a bit over two a day and would be doable.
I just don't see why bothering, why go to that much effort unless it could be published? Problem is, it's a huge Catch-22: agents don't want to bother with unsigned/unpublished authors, publishers don't want to bother with unagented authors.
