Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter is a 2001 cult film from Odessa Filmworks which deals with Jesus' modern-day struggle to protect the lesbians of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, from vampires with the help of Mexican wrestler El Santo (based on El Santo, Enmascarado de Plata, and played by actor Jeff Moffet, who starred as El Santo in two other Odessa Filmworks productions).
It was awful, it's probably #3 on my HATE list after Eraserhead and The Sphere

Yeah, it wasn't great. The premise was more entertaining than the execution.

Unfortunately I did.

You should read the book then. It's fantastic. That movie was a hunk of garbage.

The book completely reads like a normal biography of Abraham Lincoln. It goes through everything that actually happened in his real life, yet much of it was "secretly" tied to vampires. The movie took this genius concept and distilled it down to a silly action flick with Lincoln spinning an ax around like a ninja.

The movie was too cutesy and wink wink, isn't it funny, Lincoln fighting vampires! The book took it's premise seriously and sold the shit out of it.

I can't say enough good things about the book and enough bad things about the movie. haha

I just want to be left alone. I don't have enough food or anything here to survive for a long period of time, but you're telling me that I won't have to go to work while everyone else is out there trying to get over on one another? I will stay here and wait for this to all blow over.

Although having a split level house means that I have the least-secure house of anyone here.

Then I could walk around normally without the fear of getting bitten.
The irony would be that after getting chain mail, the last man left alive would be Retro and you'd get bitten anyway.

Yeah, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is written by the same guy who wrote Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

There is also William Shakespeare's Star Wars.

I'm not sure, but either someone has done it or they did it for some other piece of classic literature. Maybe it was Pride and Prejudice.

Found one:
William Shakespeare takes on the Zombie Apocalypse
"Michigan State University’s Department of Theatre brings the zombie apocalypse to East Lansing in its supernatural drama “William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead” by John Heimbuch."

Vark- any interesting in replacing Shakespeare in the park with Zombie movie, and Bear Fleeing adaptations?

Banquo: Hath yonder bear, art yon to consume, Hamlet, our mortal bones. Fie, and angry he is.

Hamlet: Doth run away and flee should we, ere bear, large and fierce, greets us with claw and tooth.

Banquo: Alas! too fleet of foot yon verily mountain of brown death comes to us as eagles flight on high. Tis of no avail dear Hamlet, to take wing of heels.

Hamlet: To run fleeting of bear nay verily. Flee faster than you odds bodkin, I only need to do.

If I have some free time today I'm going to do some research and try and find out how old that joke is.

by Tdarcos » Sun Nov 10, 2013 2:22 am

No, no, no, as a handicapped guy in a wheelchair who can't move very fast, I know the real answer.

Bruce: There's a bear coming!
Man #2: I'm running!
Bruce: We can't outrun that bear!
Man #2: Bruce, I don't have to outrun the bear. I just have to outrun you! Once he stops to eat you, I'll be long gone!

It works for a zombie apocalypse just as well.

Instead of dry cleaning you'd need to get derusto and oiled. I bet it'd pull all the back hair off me.
