OK, it's that time!

Here is the actual image of the remote location:

It is a wooden walkway on a small trail in the Hanging Rock State Park near Danbury, NC. The reason for the walkway is that the area is rather swampy area that is connected to a lake with a nice sandy "beach" for swimming in the summer. The time of day was indeed just before sunset. I took another picture soon after of the sun setting over the lake!

So, definitely Aardvark has the most "hits" here:
1. The idea of this being near a lake
2. Sunset
3. VERY little water movement in and around the lake
4. The orange of the lightbeams coming straight off the sun in the middle of his sketch resembles the symmetry of the wooden walkway in the location image.

Very good job!

BryanB has hit a couple of things while being totally wrong on the lack of water and addiction of cacti:
1. The presence of loose sand nearby (this one is a stretch)
2. A bad odor in the air. Where I'm standing yes, there was a smell of rotting organic matter/crap.
3. Large rock dominating the scene. This one is a biggie. This is indeed Hanging Rock and the huge, overhanging, shelf-like "rock" itself can be seen from most locations within the park.

Yeah, sometimes. We talked about it on an old thread that I had a terrible time finding again. I thought it was going to be in the Orc's Head Tavern or the Troll Room, but I guess since conservatives and a 1979 Ford Bronco got mentioned Vark put it in the autos and politics base. Crafty! In 2020 we should definitely start a C2C thread.

What's cute is even with my vision problems I recognized Aardvark's first drawing as "the mountain from Close Encounters of the Third Kind" whose name I'm not sure, I think it's Devil's Peak.

Not bad, Google search says it was Devil's Tower.

Tonight as I was prepping dinner I decided to do some laundry.

“It would be a shame if your washing machine stopped tonight. It would also be just your luck.” popped in my mind but I went about my business.

On the final spin cycle, it made a god awful sound and I had to stop it. There’s a bearing gone or something. Never thought that before and never had a problem with this 16 year old Maytag.

It’s either more proof that vague prediction if even possible is useless.. or what an utterly pathetic coincidence!

I accept...let me just read through this a little closer to find out what you guys need from me specifically and I'll post back when I have the location ready.

Also, while I am skeptical on the matter, at the very least you are practicing meditation which has countless proven benefits to it so it's not time misspent.

Ok, I've selected an image of the location to view along with four letters for reference. If you would like to before you guys begin, I can send the image to ICJ along with the four letters and he can open the email once this turn is over? This should add additional credibility to the experiment? ICJ can email me and I will respond with the image and the four letters if he wants.

I want to first hear back from ICJ on whether he wants to receive the email before all of this begins that includes the picture and letters. By sending it to him before it begins, people participating should have confidence in at least that part of the experiment. If he chooses not to then a simple go for it post by him will start it and I'll post the four letters.

Eh, he's probably busy with work. I haven't heard much out of him lately.

So, I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier. We actually DO NOT need a judge! (Sorry Flack!)

Instead, simply upload your image to https://imgur.com/ and SAVE THE LINK. Either keep it to yourself or PM the link to Tdarcos or something.. though I think we can be on the honor system here. Because, when you upload to imgur there will be a timestamp right there on the link saying "1 week ago", etc.

So, after giving us the four letters, and giving us about a week to marinate on them, you post the imgur link.

Alright! Here is my entry:

I see clear skies.

While it generally smells good here, there is a slightly noticeable chemical smell. Gasoline? Chlorine? Not quite sure.

Getting a vibe of Hispanic people or decor here or nearby for some reason.

There are rolling hills of some sort around here. It's doesn't seem flat.

There is an attractive female here. I can't make out much aside from her sparkling eyes.

OK dinner and a couple glasses of Patron tequila. I got an image of rolling hills, a large open space with sparse pine trees. Rusted barbed wire fence with old posts in the foreground. Thunder clouds in the far distance, possibly before sunset. Didn't get any smell imagery, I have to assume some kind of out-of-doors Yankee Candle smell. This is as good as I can put it into a picture.

I should also note your sketch is much more green than I saw. I saw a lot more dirt and/or concrete but definitely didn’t see much grass.
