A word of thanks (att: Billy and loafergirl)
This is the greatest lineup of posters we've ever had. I cannot tell you how thankful I am that you are all here and posting in 2020. This place has been a joy to visit. I am so appreciative that you all read and post here and I hope you will continue doing so.
I am going to try to fix the editing issue right now.

I'll see if editing is for a certain amount of time or if you can do it forever.

Well, let's see if this g*dd*m m*th*rf*ck*ng son-of-a-b*tch will allow editing. If this posting remains without the swear words censored to remove vowels, editing does not work. B*st*rd.
Hey, what do you know. it works. I'll be d*mn*d.

I agree with loafergirl here, the real thanks belongs to ICJ for making all of this possible!

On a different note, THANK YOU for dealing with Caltrops. I have no idea where that torrent of shit came from but jesus.
This is pretty nice too.

In Caltrops' case, I can't tell the difference between the "before" and the "after". But I agree, this place is in good shape.

I do like having to log in here a couple times a day to keep up with the posting. It's much better than those 'social media' places.

I don't even know how to use that site. There's a bunch of lines. If you click one, a box with nothing in it appears.Caltrops

Not really sure what this means unless you're on some weird browser.RealNC wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2020 10:48 pmI don't even know how to use that site. There's a bunch of lines. If you click one, a box with nothing in it appears.Caltrops

Re: A word of thanks (att: Billy and loafergirl)
Turns out some boxes are empty, some have text in them. It seems they're supposed to be posts? Although it's very difficult to make out who is saying what and to whom. Doesn't look like it's a UI anyone would use willingly :P

Re: A word of thanks (att: Billy and loafergirl)
If the post has "N/T" next to it's subject, it means there's no text, just the subject. That is how a lot of those cretinous reprobates prefer to communicate.

If I had to put up with that UI, I would probably become just as cretinous as them.

Re: A word of thanks (att: Billy and loafergirl)
What's wrong with the UI? Keeping in mind it is a threaded forum, and intended to be a threaded forum.RealNC wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2020 7:57 pm If I had to put up with that UI, I would probably become just as cretinous as them.
Help me out. One change I made before I took a break was to make it so that when you clicked on the bases, it would load the last 10 threads. It used to not do that. It used to do it by time. So if there were no new threads in six months, nothing would show up. I have no science behind it, but I bet we lost dozens of people over almost 20 years because they clicked on a base and saw nothing.
I'm all about improving the software and yours is an opinion I respect. I can't make it a flat forum, but I do want to know your feedback if you have the inclination, sir.
