How much hard drive space do you have free?
A random question that is not at all in response to Flack making me think about dumping a .CHD file on everyone here.

Why is the largest option 5TB? Did you come up with this poll back in the 90s or something when that was maybe impressive?

DUDE. Good poll!
I am in the latter group. 1 SSD TB drive. 1 TB magnetic drive. Both as fast as possible.. we will never compete with Grandmaster Flack on sheer volume storage.

I have about 400GB free on my phone's SD card so I voted for that one.

About 160Gb on the desktop, maybe 100Gb on the Magnavox and some paltry space left on the laptop and phone. Its funny how a random 4gig flash drive or a 1gig sd card is just drawer junk now.

I agree, whoever wrote this poll made a mistake in not allowing >5TB.
The hard drive in my computer has 430.9 billion bytes available
My external Seagate USB drive has 7.734 trillion bytes remaining out of 8.001 trillion.
So I selected the largest option available.

Re: How much hard drive space do you have free?
Well, let's see.

On the shelf next to me I've got a 1TB external drive, three 3TB internal SATA drives, and 8TB WD drive, two or three < 1TB drives (I think two are 500GB and one is 750GB), and then five 1TB drives (three 2.5, two 3.5). I forgot to check but there are probably 2 or 3 2TB drives in those drive caddies. Behind those caddies are a stack of four or five 1TB SATA drives that got pulled out of rotation. I wouldn't trust them for day to day usage, but for a temporary backup or something, they're fine. Oh, and the 4TB that Tdarcos mailed me is in the red box on top -- I wouldn't really count that one since I'll be returning it to him.
So, without the Commander's drive, I count 30-35TB of available space on the shelf, and that's before we start looking at drives attached to the server or installed in computers.
So... > 5TB.

Oh yeah, once I have that drive back, I'll have 12TB of disk space.
