I thought I posted one dream report between this one and the one I link to below, about searching a bookstore because Mark Twain was looking for a book. But I can't find it on here or Caltrops. Oh well.
The following was written yesterday, then I saved it because I had to reboot my computer, but I thought I had posted it. Enjoy.
For my previous recorded dream see Analysis of a Dream.
For the first time in weeks or months I remembered the dream I had, usually I just wake up, having been unconscious the whole time. I started writing this as soon as I woke up, while it was still fresh.
This is the dream I had sometime during the evening of September 14, 2020 through the morning of today, September 15.
I remember having a car. I think I rented it, but I might have bought it as I have the memory of it having a personalized license plate. I have a memory of buying an expensive, or at least nice suit, possibly from either a tailor or a more expensive store, but I don't remember which one. I was driving and decided to park, and was going to use on-street parking but either decided to go to a hotel or noticed the hotel offered free parking for guests.
I apparently check in and am looking for my room, and am on a floor, where, on both sides of the corridor, are water coolers between each room door including a dispenser holding cone shaped white paper cups. Walked past a room where next to it is what appears to be some sort of maintenance closet, but they have their door open and the room had a door to it as well, implying it was their closet, with its own door to the corridor.
I guess I wanted to go drive again or maybe I didn't have a room or couldn't remember it - as I decided to call the front desk. I see a house phone and call to ask, if I come down and show my license and my keys with one of those miniature license plate on it – or maybe just my ID – they could tell me either what my room number was or what car I had. Then I notice someone lying on their stomach in one of two beds near me. I hadn't walked to a house phone, I had walked into someone's room and used theirs, so I left, quietly. While in the hotel someone else either was wearing a nice suit or noticed mine, and he commented how he thought I'd bought it at Burlington Coat Factory, implying it was a cheap suit. However I've never visited a Burlington Coat Factory.
In any case, as with my previous dream, my subconscious dispenses with mundane details like intermediate transportation, I don't bother taking the elevator, I'm instantly whisked away, I'm out on the street looking for my car, which I can't remember what make or model except it might be a cream yellow with a white top and was a large car, like an older Cadillac or Lincoln Town Car. Probably the latter as I used to own one.

The car is your mother. Read a book sometime why don't you.

I don't get you. How or in what fashion is the car my mother? I' never had any fears on losing her when I was younger, and now I know where she is, in a brass rectangular urn in my sister's living room, where she's been for over 20 years.Billy Mays wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2020 10:23 am The car is your mother. As for reading a book, if it isn't on computer like either a PDF file or more likely Kindle or other e-book, it's very hard to do any reading without a full-page magnifier, which I have, but is difficult to use. I'm also busy with other things.
