The Rogues Gallery
Rogue is OUT ON STEAM! (ED NOTE: It's not actually out just this minute. It was supposed to be unlocked an hour ago, but still isn't. So, this first statement was a lie.)
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are introducing a friendly competition here at the ol' JC BBS.
In this thread, we will continually attempt to one-up each other's scores, with the ultimate goals of having fun and improving at the game!
If you wish to be a part of this competition, please announce your intentions here!
HAPPY ROGUEING!

From Pixel Games Twitter:
So... if you want to get a head start on this, you're going to have to play the free version.Release dates are estimates on submission, then you have to wait for approval before the release clock starts, actual release will be Thursday

It's listed as "Coming soon". Is that a euphemism for "down for retooling?"pinback wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 9:37 am Rogue is OUT ON STEAM! (ED NOTE: It's not actually out just this minute. It was supposed to be unlocked an hour ago, but still isn't. So, this first statement was a lie.)
Wait a minute, didn't you write one of these? I think you even had me as a character, in which you used an ISA wheelchair symbol as one of the monsters.pinback wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 9:37 am To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are introducing a friendly competition here at the ol' JC BBS.

Re: The Rogues Gallery
Shift-arrow-key doesn't work for me in the DOSBox version. Can anyone else get that to work? If the Steam version fixes that, that's reason enough to buy it. Shift-hjkl works, but I never got used to that movement scheme.

Walks in one direction until something interesting happens. Quicker (and safer) than moving space-by-space.

Ok, fast mode. You can do the same thing by hitting F and then a direction. You can also use scroll lock in some versions.

Okay, it's out on Steam!
It's three bucks, but if you act fast, you can get it for the low low price of $2.54!

Re: The Rogues Gallery
If you would like to run it in a window instead of full-screen, and at a resolution higher than the tiny 320x240 default, let me know! I am now an EXPERT at configuring this thing for modern audiences!
