I did this without looking at anyone's answer. In any game of Texas Hold'em, the number of players is irrelevant, the maximum number of players who can get a royal flush (or any flush) is, at most, one.

A royal flush is the cards 10-J-Q-K and A, all in the same suite. As a player has only two cards, they must have three of these from the river. Since the river is only five cards, at most one person can get a royal flush.

However, Texas-hold-em allows something you can't get in any other poker game: the possibility of something even rarer: a six- or seven-way royal flush, a six-way or seven-way flush (six- or seven-in-a-row but not including all of Q-K-A). While these are extremely rare, they could happen.

Also, the maximum number of possible players in a game of Texas-Hold-Em could conceivably be 23, and the dealer would be left with one card.

All of this presumes a standard 52-card deck with the Joker discarded. It would be interesting to have a game with Joker as either wild or the equivalent of either the "0" card (below Ace) "10 1/2" (between 10 and Jack) or above King/above Ace.

The "river" is the fifth card dealt to the "board". The "board" is the set of five cards in the middle of the table that you are referring to. Not the "river".

Absolutely incorrect. There is no such thing as a "six- or seven-way flush." There are only five-card flushes. A "six-way flush" does not beat a higher-ranked five-card flush, because there is no such thing as a "six-way flush."
