[POLL] Favorite beverage!
Could be alcoholic or not, just tell us, if you had to pick one, what your all-time single favorite thing to drink is!

Are these poll building threads? The titles are unclear. Should we suggest one, or several?

Re: [POLL] Favorite beverage!
It is an open-ended poll. For stuff like "what's your favorite number between 0 and 10", I can use the phpBB3 poll system, but for stuff like this, you just tell us your answer. Otherwise I'd have to list every beverage to ever exist, and there are probably more than 25 of those, so I wouldn't be able to fit them all in the list.

Re: [POLL] Favorite beverage!
Fair enough.
My favorite drink of all time is cold root beer served in an icy mug. When I was a kid my dad used to take me to A&W (and later Coit's) and both served icy cold root beer in frozen mugs. The root beer always had the right amount of foam, and even if you wanted to chug the whole thing you couldn't because the root beer was too cold and burned your throat too much. Coit's also made a mean root beer float with vanilla ice cream, but just the root beer with bits of ice on the outside of the mug was enough of a treat.
A few years ago Coit's closed, and A&W was bulldozed and turned into a restaurant that's half A&W and half Long John Silvers, which means you can order chili dogs with a side of hushpuppies if you really want to. They still serve root beer. It comes in a paper cup with the wrong kind of ice and a side of indifference.

Re: [POLL] Favorite beverage!
I'm going to probably list three because I'm not sure if I can quantitatively give one of them a top mark.
Runner Up: Strawberry soda. Welch's, Fanta and Crush are all good.
Now, for my three favorites: Mountain Dew (and clones like Giant of Maryland's Mountain Shoutin'), Dr. Pepper (and clones like Coca Cola's Mr. Pibb and Safeway's The Skipper), and A&W Rootbear (there is nothing else close.)

Re: [POLL] Favorite beverage!
After I saved it I realized I said rootbear rather than root beer, but it is not possible to edit a post once saved.
