Good point! It's probably not true. Unlike some U. S. Presidents, I don't take such venomous conjecture sitting down!!!odyssia76 wrote: Thu May 06, 2021 4:22 pmYou are joking right ICJ? I think the beef industry should just tell everyone that from now all cows will be killed humanely and raise the price of beef a buck a pound. Then we could all die happy. And full.

Re: Random thoughts
The actual total number issued during the last 240+ years is only slightly over 14,000. One of the latest ones Biden has signed is E.O. 14,026 "Increasing the Minimum Wage for Federal Contractors" Signed April 27, 2021.odyssia76 wrote: Thu May 06, 2021 4:22 pmYou are joking right ICJ? FDR was in office for over 12 years. Divide up the 3,743 he issued by 12 and you get an average around 250 a year, call it one per business day.

Lastpass does a lot of stuff the really annoys me. The only reason i keep using it is because i absolutely require a password manager and all the other suck even more. I should make a list called Oh Lastpass How Thou Doth Annoy me and send it to them.Ice Cream Jonsey wrote: Wed Feb 12, 2020 10:45 am It drives me crazy that the page served up by lastpass.com doesn't have the fucking login box on it, and you have to click on something to bring it up.

Or you could just post it here. I'm pretty sure we've got at least one LastPass decision maker on the board given our massive user base.odyssia76 wrote: Tue May 11, 2021 1:48 pm should make a list called Oh Lastpass How Thou Doth Annoy me and send it to them.

Well maybe. It would take a bit to write up and I don't know if I feel like spending the time. If I were sure there were someone here who could somehow get the list to the developers somehow then it might be worth it though I guess. As I said right now even though it is often annoying the alternatives are worse and man it is a major PITA to switch. RoboForm definitely sucks even more though it does a few minor things better. When its something someone uses many times a day you tend to become an expert.

Re: Random thoughts
I know, right? How can you influence an industry that you don't interact with. Sure, activism, but people are gonna keep eating meat. Less of better meat is totally the way to go, I'll take omaha steakes over costco any day now though local butchers are best.odyssia76 wrote: Thu May 06, 2021 3:41 pm Many people are conflicted about eating cows and other meat. They see and hear the horror stories about factory farms and slaughterhouses and are rightly horrified. But it does not have to be that way. It's not either/or. You do not have to stop eating meat in order to stop contributing to the torture meat industry. There are plenty of places these days that raise and sell meat this is ethically raised with happy critters in open fields eating real food with no antibiotics and then they are humanely slaughtered without the terror and blood of a slaughterhouse. Yes they cost a bit more and you will probably end up eating somewhat less meat overall but you won't feel horrible and instead feel good that you are no longer supporting the slaughter machine.
I think that Tdarcos is wrong when he says that it would be impossible to farm deer. It would require some changes in regulations of course and I agree the volume of meat would be less but deer breed pretty quickly on their own with no help needed from humans. They can also easily live on cheap land that is not really good for building or anything else. Buy a couple hundred acres and fence it in and they will feed and reproduce by themselves. They are not like cows which require humans to survive. I bet that if someone put their mind to that it would be possible to farm venison with some kind of reasonable return though I agree not in the sheer volume beef is.
I'm going to have to go back and read where the guy living near Virginia say you can't farm deer. Thats exactly what we're doing except the farms are the greenbelts by the suburbs and only redneck hunters get the meat.

Re: Random thoughts
Oh, it was billy mays who said you can't farm deer but tDarcos who said why you can't sell them, that makes sense. Billy is probably right about farming deer, don't argue huntin with a Trumpster with buckshot.

I switch between chrome and firefox and duckduckgo (on my phone). Sometimes one is better for some things sometimes another is better. And the reason for password manager is that even if chrome password were perfect, they 1) are not available on any platform I use, 2) do not work for applications which are NOT chrome, and 3) lastpass has a dew other features i use like storing other kinds of data too. And oh yeah 4) I'm used to it and it's fine and there is no reason to change. Change = hassle, hassle = frowny face. Nothing chrome can do that lastpass can't but that is not true the other way around.Casual Observer wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 10:28 pm Didn't realize that was an issue anymore. Me? The floor is MINE? Whee.
Hmm, what should I do with it? When I was a teenager we used to get drunk and hoke that "you can't fall off the floor". Or as a very wise woman said "Oh, Floor, You're Always There For Me. So Supportive. Not Like Walls And Staircases, Always Getting In My Way."
