Here's one: don't pay ten times as much as you need to for the fancy brand name "metamucil" or all their expensive advertising. Go to Amazon and search for "psyllium husk." Buy the cheap generic capsules in bulk for orders of magnetude less. It's the same exact thing.

Fun fact about generics: did you know that Sominex, Benadryl (allergy med) and Benadryl (anti itch cream) are the EXACT same thing (Diphenhydramine HCl), and you can get the generic in huge bottles for less than a penny each, instead of paying like 50 cents each to get pill in a blister pack with a fancy label? Don't be a dummy and pay for labels and corporate asshole salaries. When you buy a boat with all the money this saves you, I get a ride.
