Cheapskate! I was thinking of sending him something, but I realized that anything I could give him, he could buy 10 of them through petty cash, i.e. his change jar. At least I don't have any money, what's your excuse? :)

Flack, I want to wish you all the best on your birthday, may you find happiness wherever you seek it, and may health and peace stay with you through all of your days. You have been a positive force here, and has made this place better by your presence.

I hope you find what you're looking for - everybody is looking for something - and if that happens, you look forward to the next search.

Well, good news. The change jar was cashed in earlier this month. It had 270 pennies, 71 nickels, 95 dimes, 129 quarters, and 4 SBA dollars for a total of $52.00 even.

Teller: "Wow, what are the odds it ended in an even number?"
Me: "One in a hundred?"

A few days after my birthday a surprise package arrived from Amazon. I opened it up and discovered these!

Image

A package of Jeep-brand chocolates! The box came with a magnet on the back so you can attach the chocolates to the front of your refrigerator. How cool is that? Inside the box were individually packaged squares of chocolate with different Jeeps on them. Do I have a Jeep? No! Do I enjoy chocolate? Yes! I wasn't sure who this was from until I noticed that one of the Jeeps was a Jeep COMMANDER! A gift receipt inside the box confirmed my suspicions. Thanks, Paul!

Yesterday while watching the OU football game, a-NOTH-er package arrived! I ripped open the box to find a brand new Commodore 64 game and a brief note from our own ICJ. I know how Jonsey hates dumb YouTube faces so I made the best one I could muster while laying nearly prone in my recliner watching football.

Image

Best birthday ever!* Thanks, guys!!!

(*I spent my actual birthday sitting next to my dad in an ICU room, holding his hand while he was on a respirator as doctors worked to repair his collapsed lung. So, not best birthday ever! But now I am eating chocolate and playing a new C64 game while my dad rests in our spare bedroom so, it got better.)

I had a strong suspicion this was true based on what you brought when you visited me.

I had no idea. This is a complete coincidence.

If I had known about the Jeep Commander I might not have had to say who it came from. As it was, I didn't want you to wonder.

Does anyone remember - this was before everything crashed which makes it over two years ago, when I posted a message thanking (I think it was) Marakella (or something like that) because she had sent me a package of Starburst from Amazon, and I had not ordered any from there? Then, I discover it wasn't what I thought it was. Someone was selling Starburst on eBay, then simply ordering it from Amazon; they were just using price arbitrage. I didn't want you to think it was something different from what you expected.

Oh, and you're welcome. Since you posted your picture of yourself, now I can post the selfie we did together when you visited, that my roommate Leslie took. (Since you don't look anything like your avatar, I wasn't sure if you wanted people here to know what you look like.)
