I want it on the record that I proposed this idea (after consulting several online recipes) to my wife, who immediately said it wouldn't work, it would be all soggy, it would suck, I'm an idiot, etc. The reason my photo was delayed because she was too busy shoveling them into her mouth to give me time to compose a decent photograph. Leave the cooking to me, sweetheart.
If you wanted to be fancy, you could make your own meatballs and your own sauce, but I'm past that point in my life, and one thing I've learned is that pre-made shit is, in general, good enough. We're not getting any younger here.
BEN'S FAMOUS MEATBALL SLIDERS

12-pack of Kings Hawaiian rolls.
12 of your favorite frozen/prepackaged meatballs.
1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce.
1 package of sliced mozzarella.
Grated parmesan.
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1. Cook meatballs as indicated.
2. Slice entire 12-pack of rolls in half, leaving all the bottoms and tops intact, put bottoms in a nonstick baking tray.
3. Layer mozzarella slices over the bottoms.
4. Place 12 meatballs on there, one for each roll.
5. Top each meatball with a generous dollop of your marinara of choice.
6. Cover everything with a layer of grated parmesan.
7. Put all the tops on there.
8. Melt butter and mix with garlic sauce, then brush all the tops with the butter/garlic mixture.
9. Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
Amazing. We will be taking all of our meals in slider form from now on.
