Paddy's day! I'm a day early.

Post by Mama Blue »

We celebrated here a day early. Irish dancers did a show here at lunch time. I set it up.

Let's talk about being Irish?

I'm Irish and Scottish, you?

Let's share facts, sayings, limericks, music!

The most beautiful saying that I know in Gaelic...
I once read this in a book on celts and shared it with my friend Michelle, and she got it tattooed on her.

"Tri na hoiseanna, thar am, mo grha."

Across the ages, through time, my love.

Isn't that lovely?

I'll be Irish tomorrow. Starting from the liver.

I love Tully, especially in a Johnny Jump Up!

Enjoy your day! I'll pray 🙏 for your liver.

I'm mostly Scottish, some English, some Irish, roughly 9% Creek Indian and I ended up with an English last name.

Oh Creek, nice. I'm 20% native American but I have no idea what tribe.

Corned beef, colcannon, and Colman's mustard. What's not to like.

I love colcannon. How do you have it?
I've always had it mashed potatoes 🥔, bangers, egg 🥚 over easy on top.

Just potatoes, green onions, cabbage, and lots of butter.

Beef in the oven, potatoes in the pot, Flogging Molly blasting on the radio, let's go.

Nice! Favorite flogging molly song?
Mine are:
Rebels of the sacred heart
Rare ould times
Devils dance floor
Worst day since yesterday
Tobacco Island

I saw them 5 times in concert
Once in Niagara falls
4 times in roc
3 of those were at the Armory
1 at Waterstreet

I gotta go with If I Ever Leave This World Alive.

Only saw them live once. I was dragged there by my wife having no knowledge, and while I'm a fan now, I'm more of a fan of the opening band we saw for the first time that night, Reverend Payton's Big Damn Band.

Still, tonight, gotta go with the Molly.

That's an awesome song...

Let the rosary beads,
Count them, 1, 2, 3,
Fall apart as they
Hit the floor...
