AI text to image generated art 🎨
Is anyone other than me doing it?
Anyone wanna share?
I'm actually taking lines of poetry and feeding them in just to see what images come out.
Pretty cool stuff!

What generator are you using? Stable Diffusion? Throw up some links and I'm game to join in.

Here is some that weren't generated by poetry. They were generated by two object sentences, like "the cat ate the bird."

Just apps on my phone. So far I'm engaging with the "Imagine" app the most.bryanb wrote: Mon Jun 12, 2023 9:06 pm What generator are you using? Stable Diffusion? Throw up some links and I'm game to join in.

Thought #1: Wow. That's really something.
Thought #2: This kind of sucks if you're an artist, doesn't it? Particularly a digital artist. There may come a time when people will have to crowd around you and literally watch you create your art to believe you painstakingly handcrafted it rather than fed words or reference images to an algorithm.
Thought #3: At the same time, it can democratize the creation of art I suppose. If someone needs art for their video game and they have no skillz, maybe AI art will provide them a usable alternative one day. And you actually managed to use AI to create something deeply personal with the gravestone images, didn't you?

I agree that it might take over the digital art game but it's not the same quality as something personally tailored to a customer's idea.

Riley is doing some really cool stuff and I hope she's successful with it. Technology always seems to bring us new opportunities even as it challenges our traditions and existing culture. With AI art, I get the feeling that the algorithm is doing the heavy lifting of the creative process and the human is placed more in the roles of curator and guide. It's definitely a different way to create.

And I thought doing images by playing android paint-by-number games was quite something...
This sort of thing might change digital art, as the computer might create backgrounds, but the animator adds finishing touches. Or some change happens and new developments we can't even imagine occur. right now, at this stage of the technology, It's like standing at Kitty Hawk and seeing the Wright brothers develop heavier-than-air planes, and trying to imagine commercial air service, or seeing Ford's assembly plant open and trying to imagine millions of hyper-fast vehicles being sold every year, ending up in the hands of almost everybody.
It's funny, but every time a new technology comes out, people are afraid that all those people will become unemployed. And what happened? The new technology ends up creating more jobs, and new industries. Dozens of times, an entrenched industry was eliminated, and new technology replacing it released even more value into the economy. More companies were started requiring even more employees than before.bryanb wrote: Tue Jun 13, 2023 10:44 am Riley is doing some really cool stuff and I hope she's successful with it. Yes, I agree that ots the AIs creation but with the promoters fingerprint. We won't write the same exact sentence or paragraph description of what we want, we just won't. And if we do, it will show you a variation. I'm just playing devil's
advocate here but what about an AI image generated from an image or line from a poem that was created in my own head. Who is truly the "creator" then?
Anyway, I'm no longer using Imagine, now using Bing. I find the pictures more intense.
Here are a few from a physics question I thought up.

I can't figure out where they are going when I save them, hence the screenshots. Any of you IT guys or rentable fixer-upper husband types wanna figure this one out for me? Thanks!

I know Bing has this thing called "My saves" that you can use to save search results, images, videos, etc. Check out https://www.bing.com/saves to see if your images are being saved there -- make sure you're logged into the same Bing account that you use with the app.

Here are some fun AI hiccups if you will. Can you tell what's wrong with these pictures. Btw these are all based off of memories of Noel. Her death overshadowed her life so much and that makes me sick bc she was just brilliant, one in a million. So I've been trying to focus on memories lately.

P.s. sorry about the frog

Maybe we should have a thread just for AI art fails. The extra finger thing is a common problem I hear...it seems a little weird to me that you have this incredibly advanced software that's capable of creating ridiculously complex art yet it can completely choke up when it comes to a fairly simple concept. "Fingers? How do they work? If five are good, wouldn't six or seven be even better?" The extra arm pic makes AI Noel look like a Hindu fairy goddess.
Did Noel like frogs?
I can understand wanting to visualize old memories of Noel or just have new pics with "her" in it, but creating and looking at those has to be really intense emotionally. Hope you're doing OK.
