Do you like Hudson's Adventure Island? Immature bathroom humor? (probably!)

Did you ever watch the Japanese comedy skit duo known as Kato and Ken? (Probably not)



In this game you choose either Kato or Ken (or JJ or Jeff in the USA) and basically jump around collecting things, kicking things, etc. The USA version has a lot of stuff cut out and turned the characters into Californian dickheads. What did they cut out? To list a few things..

1. Ability to fart on command
2. Ability to kick your friend trying to take a piss
3. Birds shitting on you
and more!

I actually originally played this as JJ & Jeff back in the day and enjoyed it because Hudson Soft generally always made good games. Once I got super into the Japanese NEC gaming scene around 1999 (I was part of R.I.G.G. the Retro ISO Gaming Group) I learned that I was not even playing the original game! The PC-Engine version plays the same but is simply the better verion. Especially these days when everyone has Google Translate on their phones.

The gameplay consists of running around and jumping over or on enemies, avoiding obstacles, kicking random objects to trigger platforms you can't jump over, and these weird secret rooms that exist in places like public bathrooms lol. It's just as frustrating as Hudson Island can be, but it is fun at least for an hour or so.

As with many of the TurboDuo games, I don't know what on earth they are just due to their titles, so this is how I find games. I should be able to run this on the AnalogueDuo machine I bought a few months ago. I think it allows Japanese releases. Thanks for posting about this!
