Let's all nominate a game for the VGHOF
I'll nominate Lode Runner.

I think it would be fun if we all did this for different games as a community for Christmas. Like how some communities all buy a poor family's Christmas gifts.

I'm going to have to go with Journey (arcade) I think this year. Monkey Island, etc is all obvious but Journey seems to be way more obscure than it should be. I can't even find a "world high score" for it after breaking the local score. I also can't stop playing it every time I am around it.
I will officially vote tomorrow..

I submitted DOOM. 3D first person shooter with dynamic lighting, non-rectangular rooms, doors that open bottom up or top down, plus other things I've probably forgotten.

I'm too lazy to justify why I would nominate Civilization. IV specifically, but they seem to induct entire franchises.

Well then, I'm glad I didnt go thru all the effort.
If Civilization and Ultima are in there, I'm good.

I'm submitting Bubble Bobble, partially because it's a great game and partially because I've been playing it all weekend so it's the only game I can think of.

Dune 2000 is the only game I've played consistently for 20+ years so that.
