I have two problems with the site.

Using https doesn't seem to work, and I don't have the URL to login to the Wordpress panel. I will work on figuring out the problems.

Okay, I am targeting January 15th for my first entry. I have reasons to believe I will make this self-imposed deadline.

I still believe this is going to happen. Fingers crossed!

I really wanted to bring back monthly updates for 2025, but now there's not much time yet. I'm still going to give it a shot. There's a longer game I really want to review eventually, but I've gotten stuck about 25% of the way in as of a few months ago. That one might turn out to be a 2026 review.

I hope everyone around here has been doing well!

I blew that deadline, but it's not because I have not been writing about games, it has been because I haven't had the willpower to go back into HHGG. I got the Babel Fish though!

I am going to play a little more and admit that HHGG beat me.

I played it on the C64 without a fast load cartridge so resorting to the hint menu became a necessity rather quickly. The game is cruel enough that I still think using the hint menu to keep progress going is totally valid. When the difference between whether you finish a game is whether or not you resort to hints, I say, use 'em.

I have opened it but I didn't get past the first room. I think I missed the window of my life where I have enough patience for such a game. I also own the book but don't think I got very far in that, either.

Bro, even WITH hints and a 386 by the time I played it, I found that game hard as balls. The thing with cheese sandwich? COME ON, MANNNN
