I do ensure that all of my coverages and limits are what I expect. But I do not read the details.

Should I?

I do. Don’t want to end up in “hurr durr I thought that was covered?!” situation. Especially since I have the cheapest home and auto I can find.

Yesterday someone told me they felt sorry for me because I feel so nostalgic about old things and I told them I felt sorry for them that they didn't.

It seems inconceivable to many that what is important to them and gives them joy is not the same as what's important to others and gives them joy.

I try to get rid of stuff as soon as possible. I have no need for, or interest in, yesterday. That is important to me and is a source of joy.

Flack is the opposite.

Instead of feeling sorry for each other, we celebrate the different ways in which we have found joy.

R-- right? Flack? Yes. That is what we do.

Every parent (hopefully) learns sooner or later that true happiness is when others find their happiness. Forcing what makes you happy on anyone is a sure way to make two people unhappy.

It makes me happy that getting rid of things makes you happy, and it would make me even happier if you gave me your old toys and computer parts and stuff. We would all be happy!

Thank you ICJ for my new avatar!! I shot over the idea I had last night and he created it for me.

Once avatars on this BBS were introduced, I chose the "ghost" one that was in the avatar gallery because no one else did and it seemed fitting. I never replaced it because I couldn't decide what to pick and my real face avatar is all over most things I use anyway. For a while, I thought about Robin Williams as Popeye.. but I could never settle on an image.

Then, one night at the beach recently I was watching Jaws 3D and realized Dennis Quaid's character fits way more. The occupation, the uniform (tho I hide my namecard/badge in my pocket), the exact same slack 80s haircut as mine currently, eyebrows, and yes even the slight turkey-looking neck and armpit sweat. Totally me. I was messed up though and sat on this decision for days. "Pinback loves Jaws! Flack and others dig it too! I think this makes sense!" I think I made the right decision. Well, I hope for you all because you are stuck with it for the next 10 years.

"Professor Von Forster, noted tomb prober!"

That's what I first saw when I read the intro blurb to Aztec.

I hope the big mountain lion that's loose in Rochester does not pee on my sneakers!

My dog weighs enough to set off the seat belt chime in my new car when she sits in the backseat.

I'm pretty sure a 2 liter of soda weighs enough to trip that alarm.

Hell, a few reusable Wegmans bags may even trigger it.

Way too touchy. People who leave their kids in the back seat on 100 degree days ruin things for everyone.

Like, it's worth letting the kids sweat out 10-30lbs just to get the chime to stop.
